Love Letters to the “Bauhaus Movement”

Neckpieces

This series explores the dynamic interplay between my African heritage and the pervasive Western influences that have shaped the urban landscapes of my upbringing. Each design serves as a poetic dialogue—a dance—between my presence in Africa and my existence in a Western-centric society.

The foundational black hues symbolise a vibrant celebration of my African identity, while the intricate geometric forms draw inspiration from the revolutionary Bauhaus Era. Together, they compose a visual love letter to the fusion of cultures and the evolving urban landscapes that define my world.
